DESCRIPTION: Mammalian cell and tissue extracts were prepared by homogenization in modified RIPA buffer (PBS, pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 0.25 % sodium deoxycholic acid, 0.1% SDS, 1 mM sodium orthovanadate, 1 mM sodium fluoride, 1 mM phenylmethylsulfonyl fluoride, 1 ug/ml aprotinin, 1 ug/ml leupeptin, 1 mM pepstatin-A).  Insoluble material was removed by centrifugation. Samples of human origin have been assayed and found negative for  HBsAg, HIV 1/2, and HCV.

For SDS-PAGE analysis of endogenous proteins and for Western blotting applications. Load 5-20 ug/lane for minigels.

Extracts are supplied (100ug and 500ug sizes) at a protein concentration of 1.0 mg/ml in RIPA sample buffer (see above).  Store at -70º C for maximum shelf life.
